Terms of Use and Purchase

Maria Morrison, LLC (doing business as Tinnitus with Maria)

Effective date: October 20, 2026

The Short Version

These terms are a binding agreement. By checking the box at checkout or by using the site, you agree to them. Questions before you buy? Email [email protected]. We're happy to help.

1. Who We Are

This site is operated by Maria Morrison, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company doing business as Tinnitus with Maria ("we," "us," or "our"). These terms apply to your use of this site and to anything you get here, including the ReWire: The Brain-Based Tinnitus Relief Program online course, digital downloads such as the Tinnitus Relief Journal and Tinnitus Relief Toolkit, coaching sessions, and free resources (together, our "Products"). "You" means the person using the site or making the purchase.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

2.1. You must be at least 18 years old to buy or use our Products. If you are buying for someone else, you are responsible for making sure they are an adult and that they agree to these terms.

2.2. Your account is for your personal use only. Keep your login private and do not share it. You are responsible for activity on your account.

2.3. You agree that we may send you notices, receipts, and other communications electronically, by email or on this site, and that these satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.

3. Prices and Payment

3.1. The price of each Product is the amount shown at checkout when you buy. Any discount or coupon is applied before you pay.

3.2. Each purchase is a single, one-time payment. It does not create a subscription, membership, or recurring charge, and nothing renews automatically.

3.3. We do not add fees beyond the price shown at checkout. Applicable sales tax, if any, is shown before you pay.

3.4. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number. If you choose a pay-over-time option (such as Afterpay or Klarna), your installment agreement is with that provider, and its terms govern those payments. If you save your payment details for faster checkout, they are used only when you choose to make a new purchase.

3.5. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact us first so we can fix it quickly.

4. Access to Your Products

4.1. Online courses. After purchase, you can access the course for as long as we continue to offer it, at no additional charge. If we discontinue a course, we will give you at least 60 days' notice by email so you can finish it and download any downloadable materials. We may update course content over time to keep it accurate and useful.

4.2. Digital downloads. Downloadable Products are yours to keep for your personal use.

4.3. Technology. Our courses are hosted on a third-party platform. You are responsible for having a compatible device and internet connection. Occasional outages may occur; we will work to restore access as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Refunds

5.1. Because digital Products are delivered and available immediately, all sales of courses and digital downloads are final and non-refundable, except where applicable law requires a refund.

5.2. If you cannot access something you purchased, or it is materially different from how we described it, contact us within 30 days of purchase. We will fix the problem, and if we cannot, we will refund that Product.

5.3. If you live in a country that gives consumers a right to cancel online purchases (such as the United Kingdom or the European Union), you agree at checkout that your digital content will be made available immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once access begins.

6. Coaching Sessions

6.1. What coaching is. Coaching sessions are one-on-one educational conversations about tinnitus, habituation, and the strategies taught in our programs. Coaching is not an audiology or medical appointment. During coaching we do not perform hearing tests or examinations, diagnose any condition, prescribe or adjust treatment or medication, or fit, program, or recommend hearing devices for you.

6.2. Scheduling. Sessions are scheduled at a time we agree on together and take place online or by phone.

6.3. Rescheduling and cancellation. You may reschedule at no charge with at least [24/48] hours' notice. A session missed without that notice, or one you are more than 15 minutes late for, may be forfeited. If we need to reschedule, we will offer a new time, and if we cannot find one that works, we will refund that session.

6.4. Unused sessions. Prepaid sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase.

6.5. Recording. We do not record coaching sessions without the clear permission of everyone on the call. Please do not record a session without our permission.

7. Educational Purpose; Not Medical Care

7.1. Education only. Our Products provide general education about tinnitus and self-management strategies. They are not medical or audiological advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

7.2. No patient relationship. Buying or using a Product, including a coaching session, does not create a patient, audiologist-patient, or other health care provider relationship between you and Maria Morrison, Au.D., Maria Morrison, LLC, or anyone else. Dr. Morrison is a licensed audiologist in State of Illinois. Her credentials describe her professional background; they do not mean she is providing audiology services to you through these Products.

7.3. Separate from our clinics. Maria Morrison, LLC is separate from any audiology clinic Dr. Morrison is affiliated with. Buying a Product does not make you a patient of any clinic, and information you share with us here is not part of any clinic's medical records. If you are a patient of one of those clinics, your clinical care continues there under that clinic's own policies.

7.4. Get evaluated first. Tinnitus can be a sign of a medical condition that needs attention. Before starting any program, we strongly encourage a hearing evaluation by an audiologist and, where appropriate, an evaluation by a physician. Our Products are not a substitute for that care.

7.5. When to seek care promptly. Contact a physician or audiologist right away, and do not rely on our Products, if your tinnitus:

7.6. Your own health decisions. Do not start, stop, or change any medication, treatment, or hearing device based on our Products without talking to your own health care provider.

7.7. No guarantee of results. Everyone's experience with tinnitus is different. We do not promise that any Product will reduce, cure, or eliminate your tinnitus or produce any particular result. Stories from past participants reflect their experiences and are not typical or guaranteed outcomes.

8. Using Sound and Exercises Safely

8.1. Some Products include sound enrichment, relaxation, breathing, sleep, or movement exercises. Use them at comfortable levels and within your own limits.

8.2. Keep any background or therapeutic sound at a soft, comfortable volume, generally below the level of your tinnitus. Never use loud sound to cover your tinnitus. Loud sound, especially through earbuds or headphones, can damage hearing and worsen tinnitus.

8.3. Stop any exercise that causes pain, dizziness, a worsening of your symptoms, or significant distress, and consult your health care provider.

9. Emotional Support and Crisis Resources

Tinnitus can be very distressing, and it is common to feel anxious, low, or overwhelmed. Our Products are not mental health treatment or crisis services, and we do not monitor messages or community posts in real time. If you ever have thoughts of harming yourself, or feel you cannot cope, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, in the U.S.) or call 911. Outside the U.S., contact your local emergency number. We also encourage you to speak with a mental health professional, many of whom work with people who have tinnitus.

10. Your License to Use Our Materials

10.1. All course videos, audio, worksheets, journals, and other materials are owned by Maria Morrison, LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. When you buy a Product, you receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use it for your own benefit.

10.2. You may not copy, share, resell, record, publish, or redistribute the materials or your login, use them to teach, train, or treat others, or use them to train artificial intelligence tools, without our written permission. We may suspend or end access for any account that does so, without a refund.

11. Community, Feedback, and Testimonials

11.1. If we offer comments, a community area, or live calls, please be respectful and do not share anything you would not want others to see. Do not post medical advice to other participants, promote products, or share another person's private information. We may remove content or suspend access for conduct that breaks these rules.

11.2. Information you post in shared areas can be seen by other participants. Please do not post health details you want to keep private.

11.3. We will only use your name, image, story, or words in our marketing if you give us separate, express permission. You may withdraw that permission for future use at any time by emailing us.

11.4. You are always free to share your honest opinion about our Products, positive or negative.

12. Your Information

We collect only the information needed to provide your Products, communicate with you, and improve our programs. Some of what you share with us, such as details about your tinnitus or hearing, may be health information, and we treat it with extra care. We do not sell your personal information. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email; we will still send transactional messages, such as receipts and access notices. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have, and it is part of these terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

We work hard to provide accurate, helpful, high-quality materials, and we update them as knowledge evolves. To the extent permitted by law, the site and Products are provided "as is" and "as available," and we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the site or a Product is limited to the amount you paid for that Product, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

14.2. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

15. Events Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of our hosting or payment providers, internet failures, natural disasters, or illness. If such an event prevents a scheduled coaching session, we will reschedule it.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be announced by email to customers. The terms in effect when you made a purchase continue to govern that purchase. Changes will never add charges to, or reduce access to, a purchase you have already made.

17. Resolving Disputes and Governing Law

17.1. If you have a concern, please email us first. Most issues can be resolved quickly and informally, and we ask that you give us 30 days to try before starting a formal claim.

17.2. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kendall County, Illinois, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court where you live. This section does not take away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live.

18. General

18.1. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any terms shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Products.

18.2. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

18.3. If we do not enforce a provision right away, we have not waived our right to enforce it later.

18.4. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor business, which will be bound by these terms.
